Applesauce Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup applesauce
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
2 eggs
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 pkg chocolate chips

Directions:
Combine applesauce and soda. Set aside. Cream shortening, eggs and sugar until fluffy. Stir in applesauce. Add remaining ingredients. Bake at 400º.
